Game Day Deviled Eggs

So it's Superbowl Sunday! Woot! Now I'm not a huge fan of this day personally, but I am married to a guy who is addicted to football...so obviously it's huge for him.

This year I decided to make up some good eats for game day, and got a little creative. This is a fun way to root for your favorite team, simply chose your team color and enjoy!

Game Day Deviled Eggs

You will need:
1 dozen eggs
3/4 cup miracle whip (or mayo depending on your tastebuds)
1 tsp garlic powder
1tsp parsley
1 tsp dill
paprika to sprinkle on top

Start by boiling your eggs, and peeling them.

(Here's a helpful tip I've found when hard boiling eggs. Cover the eggs with water, put a lid on your pot and bring to a boil. As soon as they start boiling turn the burner off and set your timer for 15 minutes. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for that time, and then drain and immediately cover in cold water. Let sit another 10 minutes in the cold water, and viola! Perfectly boiled eggs every time!)

Slice each one in half and scoop out the yolks into a separate bowl, set aside.

Here's where it gets fun! Pour 1/2 cup water and 2 tbsp vinegar into a small container. Take out your food coloring that is somewhere in the back of your spice rack. Play around with colors until you get the right colors for your team. (The hubs is cheering for the Ravens and I'm cheering for the 49ers, so we had two different team colors to come up with!)

Carefully dip each egg half into the colored dye and let sit until your desired color is reached. (The longer it sits, the darker the color)

When your color is achieved pull each egg half out and drain on paper towels until dry.
(Can you see the color issues I was having with the Ravens? Maybe that's a sign...?)

While your eggs are drying, pull out the yolks and mash them with a fork until crumbly.

Stir in salad dressing and seasonings until well blended.

Scoop a generous amount of filling back into each (now dried I hope!) egg half. Sprinkle with paprika if you so desire.

Grab your team colored egg and enjoy the big game!

(This way you can tell who you're rooting for without having to talk to everyone at your superbowl party!)

Everyone have a safe fun Game Day!
