Surprise! There's another project made from denim squares! Remember when I told you my Mom gave me tons of jean squares? Remember how I also said I had tons left over after the last huge project. Well yeah, they have to be used up somehow!
This little darling measures 48''X60'' and is made from denim squares and my ever growing stash of scrap flannels. The front also has some squares of blue that were supposed to be cotton but turned out to be upolstry fabric, that felt strangely like denim. (Was that clear as mud?)
I made sure that the seams on this were large so that when the "ragging" process started it would turn out extra fluffy and comfortable. And I was right on! I washed it once, and boom! All of a sudden a fluffy comfortable rag quilt.
I think it's the perfect size and weight for summer reading. It's not too heavy, and it's lap size so you can throw it over your legs while reading a good book this summer. (what's left of it anyway!) It's going to last forever because it's made with such sturdy materials. It can stand up to all the mistreatment you can dish out.
It's fun size also so it's easy to fold up and stick in a beach bag to read on the poolside.
Going on the Etsy shop if anyone's interested. (If not, here comes my new summer reading blanket!)
